Plagiarism is a Big No

Stealing is bad and we all know of it. Even the thought of it is already considered a bad idea already. The same can be said with plagiarism. This is because plagiarism is still stealing. Instead of taking another’s property or item, plagiarism is all about stealing someone’s idea. People should know this is a wrong thing because plagiarism is being inconsiderate. Moreover, it is important for people to realize that stealing other’s
ideas is not just wrong but also damaging to them. Therefore, considering tools to check plagiarism becomes really important. This way, people would be able to avoid plagiarizing the works of others.

The dishonest act of plagiarism brings consequences to anyone who does this act. Of course, these consequences are severe and can heavily affect a person. If a student plagiarize, he or she would only hinder his growth intellectually. Once the teachers know about his or her act, the student may face sanctions that could affect his or her grades. Or maybe, he or she could be expelled because of this.

Plagiarism is also harmful to a person’s reputation. People wouldn’t easily trust a person who have plagiarize the work of others. People would see him or her as unprofessional and this reputation cannot be shaken off. There are also instances wherein a person loses his position or kicked out of his office or workplace because of plagiarizing behaviour. Others would even face a criminal case for breaking copyright laws.

It is easy to avoid plagiarizing. The best way to do this is to research the topic beforehand and avoid literally using the ideas of others.
